Meet the veterinarian behind the hospital

Dr. Andrew Lewis, DVM UC Davis graduate. More than 20 years caring for dogs and cats. Independent hospital owner.After years of serving as a medical director for other hospitals, Dr. Lewis bought Huntington Beach Pet Hospital because he wanted to practice medicine his way: based on the pet in front of him, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

He’s especially passionate about helping dogs and cats with chronic skin, allergy and ear problems. And after answering more than 25,000 pet-owner questions online, he’s probably heard whatever you’re wondering about before. Yes. Call 714-962-3639 and tell us what’s going on. We hold space every day for pets who are sick, injured, or just not themselves. If your pet has an emergency when we’re closed, our phone line lists the nearest 24-hour hospitals.

Yes. Request an appointment online or call, and fill out the new client form before your visit to save time in the lobby. You don’t need a referral or an existing record with us to be seen.

An exam is $74. Costs for common services are listed on our pricing page, and we offer packages and payment plans through Cherry so you can choose what works for your pet and your budget.

Email us. Dr. Lewis checks messages into the evening and you’ll get a detailed reply, usually the same night. For anything urgent after hours, call the practice and follow the emergency prompts.
